Summer Sails

This painting was inspired by attending the Schooner Festival in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in June. Seeing so many schooners sailing together on the ocean is quite something. I captured this one as it was returning from the race and entering the harbor. Despite its age, it moved gracefully, gliding across the water.
